The Vision Statement articulates our aspirations for Georgetown Prep across the next seven
years.
Georgetown Prep Vision Statement
As the oldest and only boarding and day Jesuit educational institution in the United States,
Georgetown Preparatory School is unique among the nation’s finest independent schools. As
such, we will seek innovative ways to teach and learn in the Catholic, Jesuit tradition, combining
academic excellence and care for individual students in a school community committed to the
ideals of advancing the greater glory of God and the world’s well-being. We will celebrate our
history, enhance our global outreach and provide greater and wider access to the sense of
community that has defined Prep since the school was founded in 1789.
Our vision for the next seven years stands on four pillars:
