IV. Preserving Our Vitality and Increasing Access for Future Generations

In an increasingly competitive secondary school market and uncertain economic environment,
Georgetown Prep will preserve our current state of vitality for future generations. We will
continue to study the emerging demographic and socio-economic trends that will potentially
affect private education in substantive ways as well as become conversant in best practices for
contemporary school management.

Goal: Educate the Prep community on the school’s financial state.

Initiatives:
         Increase transparency around budgeting process.
Examine potential of freezing tuition across four years.
Understand the true cost of a Georgetown Prep education.

Goal: Grow Endowment and Annual Fund.

Initiatives:
         Create a Planned Giving Program.
         Institute a campaign feasibility study.
Increase staffing in the Development Department.
Increase travel budget to facilitate outreach with our alumni.

Goal: Build our Benefactor Outreach.

Initiatives:
Increase our alumni participation in donor-related functions and non-donor related
         functions.
Grow our awareness of Prep outside of the Washington Metropolitan area.
Start chapters of the GPAA in major U.S. cities and open chapters in foreign countries.
Create a Board of Regents: Appointment as a regent is a highly exclusive privilege and
subject to approval of the president of the institution. The position of regent is honorary.

                                                                                                                                                         11
