COMMISSIONER’S CORNER

David Detwiler, Ward 1

Hello, Spring Garden neighbors!
I have lived in Spring Garden Township since 1969. I attended Valley
View Elementary, York Suburban Junior High, and York Suburban High
School, and graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in 1979. I
went to plumbing school in 1980 and have worked in this field ever
since. In 1991, my wife and I bought a house in Spring Garden Township
where we raised two wonderful children; my wife and I are very proud
of them.

I believe that I bring to the township and residents an open
perspective.

I like to think that in the last year that I have helped have a positive
impact on our great township which includes the administrative, police,
public works, and fire departments, and our residents.

I would like to encourage all residents to contact their respective
commissioner for issues or commendations, or to provide comments
directly to our township e-mails addresses which are found on our
township website. I also encourage all residents to provide input on
issues. The more input we have as commissioners, the better we can
