2013 Employee of the Year Announced

RYAN HOOVER has been selected by his peers as Caskey Group’s 2013 Employee of the Year!
Jim Chioda, VP – Operations, was proud of the choice. “Ryan began his career at Caskey as a press helper. He had no background in or knowledge of printing. As Caskey grew, we needed additional help at the pressman position. Ryan’s performance made filling that position easy,” said Chioda. “Through the years, Ryan has developed into an extremely productive and quality conscious member of our press room. Ryan operates on second shift which has enabled him to become a critical thinking, independent employee.”
For the last three years, Caskey employees have been invited to nominate an employee who best exemplifies the Caskey Group mission with his or her:

“What may speak most to Ryan’s efforts is he is on a somewhat skeleton shift and still made an impression on enough people to win this award. I am pleased to see him be acknowledged by his peers,” added Chioda.
Ryan was honored to receive the award. He said, “Being Caskey Group’s Employee of the Year is a huge accomplishment because (a) you are chosen by your peers, and (b) the criteria speaks a lot about the recipient’s job skills and character. Being a second shift pressman, I rarely get to see, talk to or work with other members of the team. I personally take pride in myself and what I did to have achieved this honor. Thank you to all my fellow employees.”
Ryan was one of 15 employees nominated for this honor. Seven of the 15 were nominated multiple times.
As the recipient of this award, Ryan will receive a one night stay at the Pier 5 Hotel in Inner Harbor (Baltimore), two tickets on the Spirit of Baltimore Dinner Cruise, one day off and a special parking spot with his name on it.
